Privacy notice

Draft for DAB's data protection officer. This notice is not yet approved and may change before the portal opens.

Who is responsible

The Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB) is the personal information controller for the DAB Portal, under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). DAB's data protection officer answers questions about it. To reach the data protection officer, write to DAB at dab@bangsamoro.gov.ph.

What the portal keeps

  • Your account: your name as it appears on certificates, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email and password (stored only as a hash).
  • Your work: your office, position and the role you hold on the portal.
  • Your training: nominations, attendance, outputs, evaluations, certificates and training hours, including training outside DAB that you or your office add with its certificate.
  • Security records: sign-ins, devices and a log of important actions.

Why

To run DAB's trainings, keep each person's training record, issue certificates and let anyone check one, and help offices meet the training their employees need each year.

Who sees it

DAB staff who run a training see its participants. Your office's human resources staff see the nominations and training records of their office's employees. Resource persons see the participants of the trainings they teach. The public certificate check shows one certificate to the person who has its code, never a list of participants.

How long

Records are kept and disposed of under the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007 (Republic Act No. 9470) and the records disposition schedules issued under it.

Your rights

You can see and correct your details in your account settings, download a copy of the personal information the portal holds about you, and ask DAB to close your account. Some records, such as certificates already issued, may have to be kept; the portal tells you which and why.

Questions about your information?

Ask DAB how the portal handles your personal information, or ask to see or correct what it holds about you.
