Among the powers of the Academy's Executive Director, the law lists: “Sign contracts with donor institutions, partners and other institutions relevant to the mandates of the Academy”.

Years: 2019 to 2025
With UNDP, the Academy runs the School of Peace and Democracy-Bangsamoro, a short-term course for former MILF combatants, and has held workshops on community resilience and on early warning and early response.

The Australian Embassy funds the School of Peace and Democracy-Bangsamoro, and the Australian Government supported the Academy's strategic planning in 2019.

Under JICA's Capacity Development Project for the Bangsamoro, the Academy drafted the Bangsamoro Competency Framework with 34 ministries, offices and agencies, and its officials took a short course in Hiroshima.

Funded by the European Union and run with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), SUBATRA backed the Academy's strategic performance planning, study tours on running a training centre and a training of trainers on strategic development planning.

The World Bank held a knowledge management workshop for the Academy's staff and organised a records management workshop with the Academy for the Bangsamoro Government's ministries, offices and agencies.

The official facilitator of Values Transformation Training for Bangsamoro Government employees, BDA schedules that training with the Academy and has delivered it with the Academy as its partner.

The Academy learned from DAP's Mindanao office how to set itself up as an institution, and DAP sa Mindanao trained the Academy's staff as trainers in records management.

INTAN trained the Academy's division chiefs and training specialists in management, leadership and train-the-trainer techniques in a five-day programme at Bukit Kiara.

Under a memorandum of understanding signed on 22 January 2026, the Academy supports the institutional development of Islamic finance in the Bangsamoro through training, research and policy support.
